Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time until well blended.
  • Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until cookies are golden brown around the edges.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
