Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • Optional ingredients:
  • Nuts such as walnuts or pecans (1 cup, roughly chopped)
  • Coconut flakes 1/2 cup
  • Dried fruit such as cranberries or cherries (1/2 cup)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and any optional ingredients, such as nuts or coconut flakes.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Pour the brownie mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the center is just set.
  • Remove the brownie brittle from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
  • Once cooled, break the brownie brittle into small pieces using a sharp knife or your hands.
